For aspiring and current engineers. the Clark School of Engineering is among the top 25 school of engineering in the world, providing students with an unmatched, immersive learning experience in the technology hub of America. Despite its astonishing reputation, the current website did not reflect that from a technical fidelity perspective, nor did it communicate that through messaging and content organization.
In the redesign, it was important to highlight the value: Clark offers the accessibility of a public school but the top-tier resources, quality and rankings of Ivy League options. In order to demonstrate this message across, photos of the Clark students were added for audiences to connect with, making the school more relatable while maintaining its prestige through the innovative design.
"Johns Hopkins was founded on the principle that by pursuing big ideas and sharing what we learn, we make the world a better place. For more than 140years. we haven't strayed from that vision." Similar to their overarching mission, Johns Hopkins was pursuing an updated commencement website with big ideas.
The goal for this redesign was to make this site an intuitive information destination and an emotionally connective hub that transcends time. With the main audience including parents, students, alumni, and faculty, it was essential that the site operates intuitively for older generations while staying engaging for the modern users to come. By featuring highlights from the graduating class' commencement video, the website immediately grabs attention from viewers of all ages.
The website redesign of the Office of Advanced Engineering Education at the University of Maryland was a part of a larger scale project which followed after the revamping of the overarching A. James Clark School of Engineering. This sister site was designed to mimic the school's updated look while also standing out on its own. By assisting and incorporating the design of UI Pattern libraries, the OAEE office site maintains brand consistency while incorporating in its own twist. With a fresh increase of white space and subtle interactions, the OAEE site projects a confident and modern voice of its own.
A style tile was designed for developers in order to keep brand consistency across the site.
The John Brick Mental Health Foundation is an effort to raise money and research testing to help those suffering with mental illness. 1 in 5 people will suffer from some type of mental illness in their lifetime. The Brick Foundation's mission is to advance learning about how exercise, diet, relationships, and health care fit together to benefit mental health.
Website redesign for Baltimore County Golf, home of five of Baltimore's finest courses including Greystone, Woodlands, Diamond Ridge, Rocky Point, and Fox Hollow. The opening of this site showcases aerial drone footage from each of the five golf courses, highlighting some of the courses' natural features. Visitors can interact with the homepage, seeing clips of each course and where they are located. As result, visitors become more aware and knowledgable. Overall, this site is designed to encourage and excite new golfers as well as accommodate frequent golf fanatics.
The Office of Study Abroad's website serves full-time, undergraduate students and faculty of the JHU Homewood campus by providing study abroad information, resources, and process instructions to internal audiences as well as international students considering studying at Johns Hopkins University.
In order to support Johns Hopkin's admissions goals, encourage more students to study abroad and to make the application process more user-friendly, the site required a redesign. By updating the site with exciting student photography, personal abroad stories, and clearly identifiable resources, it now functions to easily accommodate the universities' wide range of audiences.
At a time when destructive environmental impacts are strongly criticized and persecuted, it is pivotal for companies to have their facts straight and their mission clearly communicated. Say hello to Better Fish Farming, a widely misunderstood industry regarding recirculating fish farms.
The goal for this redesign was to educate audiences on who, what, and why recirculating fish farming is the better type of fish farming. Informing visitors on health, environment, and community benefits, the site includes a large dose of educational information divided and designed into complimenting modules. Each module involves interactive elements including multimedia resources to engage viewers that are interested in sustainable fish farming practices.
In Spring 2017, idfive was brought in to help resuscitate the Drexel LeBow’s marketing efforts by developing a brand that’s differentiated in the market, creating an advertising campaign to promote the school, and developing assets to assist their communications and enrollment teams in attracting prospective students – especially domestically.
This was our chance to help one of Philadelphia’s most respected private schools rediscover its mojo and make an even bigger impact on people, neighborhoods, organizations, and businesses in the city.
First, we started with our Discovery Process including audience, media, marketing, competition and admissions scans. Next, we organized the information and diluted it down to a concrete creative brief to build the foundation of LeBow's brand and marketing campaign.
As the graphic designer on the team, I created brand guidelines, audience personas, and the overall design concept for the Drexel LeBow MBA campaign. The campaign was published across multiple platforms including print materials, digital billboards, city news stands, HTML/digital banners and more.
